New Member Application Information
Congratulations to those who have been invited to join the Cousino High School Chapter of the National Honor Society, the application links are below. Invitations to apply are mailed in early Spring to eligible Sophomores and Juniors based only on the GPA requirement. After this initial invitation, GPA is not used to determine membership selection and is purely based on the written portions of the application.
The National Honor Society is a community service based organization. In order for our high school to maintain a chapter, all members are required to complete minimum service hours per school year and participate in school and community service projects. While maintaining a strong academic GPA is an important requirement, this is not the primary focus of our organization. In order to be eligible for membership or to maintain membership, a minimum of a cumulative 3.5 GPA is required. Members must also be involved in their school and community, exhibit outstanding character in the classroom and community. Decisions are typically made by mid April and the new member Induction Ceremony takes place in early to mid May.
If you are an underclassman that is interested in being a part of this group, it is highly encouraged that you build your resume including school and community involvement through participation in school activities and volunteering in the community. Applications for 2020 are DUE no later than Wednesday, April 22nd, 2020 by 2:45 PM using the submission button below. This deadline was extended 1 month from the original due date. Applications may be turned in early. Late applications will not be accepted, no exceptions. Plan accordingly.
*Note- Decision letters will be mailed around May 13th, 2020. The Induction Ceremony is planned for late September/early October 2020.

Printed Character Evaluation Packets are available for pick up from the Main Office. Please initial on the list to indicate that you picked up your forms. These are to be given to five WCS Teachers that have taught you during the current school year. Fill out your name and application number on the forms, then give the forms to your teachers immediately so they can give a proper evaluation.
